Tactile Mom was started by me, Brynn Harvey, as a way to share experiences, successes, and resources to help those who have or engage with tactile defensive children.
When I first found out my son had tactile defensiveness, I searched and scoured the internet for resources or help in teaching him to adapt and overcome. While there are a few resources out there, there wasn’t really the resource that I was hoping to find. I was hoping to find people who could share their experiences, their highlights, and the things they did to help their children adapt. As a result, this website was born to provide the resources that I wish I had as I starting working with my son on adjusting to his tactile defensiveness. 🙂
I hope you enjoy what you find. While there is and will be a lot of discussion about tactile defensiveness, I also wanted to share what I enjoy when I just need a break, and that’s cooking! I love to cook, and you’ll find some of my favorite recipes located here as well.
If you have any questions, or have something that you would like to share please don’t hesitate to contact me or comment as I love hearing from those who have experiences with tactile defensive children.
Good luck, and here’s some hope you’ll find this website useful,
